@kryssyy@kryssyy shows how to add your gender to your profile, if you want to:

Click on your username in the top bar > "Personal Details"

If someone has done this, you can see it in the overlay box that appears when you click on their username anywhere:

Is there a quick way to reply to a thread?

I normally end up clicking "Reply" to someone else's post, then have to delete out the quoted reply. I'm hoping there's a faster, easier way to post a quick, non-quote reply.

There should be an empty box down at the bottom of the thread/page to type a reply.

Okay, so you do get other emails from the site? Like for when you're tagged and PM'd and stuff?

i have in the past and i have received emails for a keyword i set up a long time ago. i vaguely remember noting seeing this keyword a few days ago and thinking "odd, why didn't i get an email alert for this?", but i'm not sure

today i spent some time adding to my list and still no emails. also if it matters i just changed the email on my mtg account a few minutes ago and received the confirmation email instantly.

it looks like keyword alert doesn't look for stuff inside spoiler tags and quotes from one's own account

Okay, that could be. I know it doesn't pick stuff up in quote tags, either, but it does pick up stuff in code tags.

Was this mystery every solved? I'm having the same issue just now, can't find a "reply to thread" to post a HIT export. Is that a newb status thing that will eventually be added to my abilities?

Um, did you miss Jaded's reply to the post you quoted (the very next post)? The exact same box that a quote-reply appears in at the bottom of the page is there all the time. Press the End key on your keyboard, or click the little down-arrow hovering in the lower right-hand corner of the page, to jump down to it without a quote getting put in it.

Now I get it, after all the facepalming.

I'll be okay once I get my meds adjusted. Or new eyeballs. Or something.

Thank you! *slinks out of room*
